PeopleCo. in Werribee literally rolled out the "green carpet" for over 50 guests in a relaxed cocktail-style party in the branch premises recently. Current and prospective clients, employees, staff and local and federal politicians all enjoyed a relaxed evening of drinks, party pies, sausage rolls and homemade brownies. PeopleCo.'s CEO Jo Collier introduced special guest Mark "Bomber" Thompson, coach of Geelong Football Club, who delivered a speech highlighting the importance of having quality people in any organisation. With PeopleCo.'s focus being a local, friendly provider of quality people to small and medium sized businesses, this was a key message to reinforce amongst those present from the Werribee community.
Janet Westwood, Business Manager at the Werribee branch kept that local focus paramount by organising only local suppliers for the evening and did a great job ensuring the evening ran smoothly.
And the word-of-mouth on PeopleCo. is spreading! Janet visited the local café the morning after the function, only to be greeted by the news that "everyone was talking about last night!" Subsequently four new clients have come on board, and three permanent placements have been made. Nice work!
The staff at Werribee would like to thank everyone who came to the party and appreciate the great support. Remember, our doors are always open for a coffee and a chat, so we hope to see you all again soon!
